US real-estate investing for newbie investor from singapore

In terms of financing the deals, I am fully aware that there are lots of alternative to finance your deal such as by doing seller-financing, partnership, searching for hard-money lender etc but since I do not have any prior experience in real-estate, I am a bit unsure of how feasible these methods are practically (Partnership may be quite feasible but I rarely find any real-estate meetups in Singapore and even then, the number of attendees for the meetups are generally quite low making it quite hard to find a suitable mentor which can maybe perform a future partnership with me).Consequently, I am currently seriously considering doing a long-distance real-estate investing in US but I am not sure that it will be feasible, especially considering the fact that I do not have prior experience in real-estate.
