For dark countertops we like to use a silver pearl granite counter top with white cabinets, a glass tile backsplash with a bit of stainless steel and a light grey floor tile.

So glad I have no color mystery to solve or no memory to tax at every turn around....I just use an atrium white Ben Moore pearl finish but they discontinued pearl so I use the closet equivalent, because it was already what my fourplex walls were when I got it!

As a start, if you're looking up there, I feel the best values on the island of oahu will come from kapolei, salt lake and pearl city/aiea. 

I will definitely look up the RE on the islands as as you mentioned with enough hunting and a bit of luck I also believe there are pearls to be found. 

Tenants called boss who was Pearl Harbor boss.  

Based on my evaluation I'm no longer interested perusing this property.An investing pearl I've learned is to always walk the immediate neighborhoods.
