When it hardens (after 45 minutes), you should get a standard hand sanding block (where you cut the sheet into 4 long strips) and a piece of 1-inch thick foam cut to fit under it and wrap good-quality 100-grit sandpaper around that.

It’s old thick plasterboard which I’ve been told it’s worth it’s weight in gold. 

Flushed it, new thick anode rod. 

To use it one scooped up a bucket full of the dust and carried it to the work site to mix with water and apply as a thick paste.

And I'm not sure if this info is pertinent, but I thought I'd share it anyway.The side in question has... yes, the tenant's used furniture...and somewhat thick carpeting on the main level, as well as the living areas in the basement.

Otherwise thick fingers might make many of us abstain from voting on anything altogether.
