I can't find anything that isn't crap in South East Minneapolis (Hiawatha) for under 250k, so if you're talking about South West which is a much higher end neighborhood, good luck.

Relocated from Southeast Ohio to the Bristol Virginia area last fall for a new job and was able to sell our home there (that was paid for) and buy our home here using a VA Loan, so left with some capital to invest.
