First mortgage, buying in France, growing my portfolio

Hello, I'll try to keep this as short as possible. I've been a member here for a few years, but like many life gets busy and you ignore your dreams. I'm back looking to invest in real estate, with a goal of providing some and hopefully all of my income in the following years. I currently live in the Southeast of the UK. House prices are rising very quickly and its extremely hard to hop onto the property ladder. I currently have no debt and a good if not very good credit score. I would like to invest in French property  (involving holiday/vacation rentals) as the area is beautiful and my wife is bilingual and I can understand French fairly well. My questions are: Is there any French/UK members who I could connect with? Any mortgage brokers/ investors that you would recommend? Because my income is fairly low, once I get a first mortgage, what would be the best way to proceed to growing my business and portfolio? I have many more questions but needed to start somewhere. Thank you for your time.
