Whether they stick that back on the agent or not your claim will have been delayed by months going thru that process and it very likely would not go your way unless you can prove you told the agent X, Y, Z on the application is wrong and you can prove the agent said "don't worry about it".At the end of the day the adjuster will look you in the eye and say if the application was not correct why didn't you say something?

If so, you need to add on your tenant qualifications sheet that you do not accept pets that are x, y, or z breeds unless they are service pets (you can't discriminate against people having service pets).

Tenant would likely be correct, particularly in-front of a tenant review board or judge.You should be able to write a letter to the HOA designating the Tenant as able to represent your interest with respect to X, Y & Z (cable and whatever else you feel is appropriate) ... though it has likely gone too far and the tenant now simply wants it fixed.Are you permitted to bring-in your own cable and/or Internet service or does the present provider have an exclusive on the building?

@Jerry SwansonThe rule of thumb for first deals is only bet money you can afford to lose.So whether your use your heloc will be based on your risk tolerance in regards to your primary residence, and your ability to pay the additional interest long term should things go south.There's also a possibility of the line getting frozen if you get in trouble and start missing payments.Although reducing or canceling a HELOC is prohibited by Regulation Z, a lender can modify a HELOC when they have a good reason to do so.

In a addition to good schools, consider towns that have e-z commutes to NYC(30min into Port Authority).
