-in my house in AZ I learned the AC doesn't work with the doors shut, I installed vents for air circulation.

When called for, I freely give them the money and they can stay with a friend or grab a cheaper place across town and pocket the difference. 

This should also result in a lower electricity bill for you.I will also be providing you with a floor fan that will circulate the cool air from the floor.  

On hotter days I tend to keep the fan running on my unit to keep the air circulating which keeps the temperature more even throughout the house.

Those are confined to cages and majority of the time are not getting out and freely roaming the house. 

So many times I see landlords inadvertently revealing clearly private information about those they rent to or deny rentals.How freely can I speak here? 

Like if there are no windows, no air circulation, no fire exits, etc. 

Personally, it isn't about the money for me as much as getting a head start on learning some basics.To Phil's credit he did call to smooth things over and even offered to meet to answer question freely.
