I know that Delaware requires a real estate salesperson or broker license to manage properties for others.

So no formal education for me got my RE license at 18. and stumbled into a few deals  had a natural knack of salesmanship. 

If you change your mind, I happen to have done more transactions in the Tampa Bay area last year than 99% of licensed agents in the Tampa Bay Area and that happened to be almost exclusively buyer investor transactions. 

For the purposes of rental property management, a "broker's license" is required in the state of Tennessee.Question: Is a "broker affiliate" (or "...Associate" I think is the term in other states) license the same as a "broker license"?

Also, getting your RE license / getting a job in the industry before investing can give you the necessary education/experience to become a successful RE investor as well.Best of luck!
