Painters seem to be in the $2-$3 sq ft area, so middle estimate is $3K.Paint 2 of the kitchen cabinets - Repaint them over the current paint or have to sand and repaint?

If repainting your entire house doesn't fit in your timeline, slap a coat of paint on just your door.

I will be completely gutting and flipping it, so I'm not as concerned about repainting in 5-10 years, but I also don't want to turn off potential buyers.  

I am planning on repainting and adding some  small upgrades to the units.

Rehab included repainting paneling, cabinets, new countertops, doors, hardware, fixtures, master bathroom, furtniture, etc.

Repainted the place, changed kitchen countertops to quartz, reglazed the bathroom, and updated the electrics.

Repainting but anyone with experience have an opinion on color palette that hides imperfections?

If you decide to let them paint make sure you have contract to have re painted when they vacate.

This is an AirBnB property so was trying for some bling in an otherwise pretty blah kitchen (just repainted the 1950s cabinets and put on new knobs.)
