Alot of smaller contractors are hand to mouth and need weekly or bi weekly payments to keep their laborers going.

You'll find a lot of properties on the south and west sides with open violations dating back 10+ years, but straight from the mouth of multiple inspectors I've spoken with, they simply don't care.

I’ve found my contractors on Thumbtack, Home Advisor, Craigslist, or by word of mouth.
