As a General Contractor in my hometown buying Fixer-Upper houses to increase their value is something I pretty much can do with ease.Like any foreigner seeking to invest in RE in the USA, my main concern is to get in touch with professionals that could help me with this endeavor, like a CPA, RE lawyer, Real Estate Agents, Title and Escrow companies, General Contractors (to begin with), etc.

Just want to put this out there ...Millennials in the US get a bad rep sometimes while "foreigners" seem to have a knack for finding success.We have a couple of young guys in our group - they're in their 20s - who were born in South Korea, have been here and exposed to American English long enough to not speak with a strong accent, have been with our group for just over two years and have acquired access to $4.5 Million in funding.

As a property manager in the Cleveland area, I get most of my clients from out of state or foreign investors who already have been through one or more property managers.Nobody has ever called me complaining that the typical fees they paId (one month for placing tenant plus 10% ongoing) are too high.

Yes, we regularly have to replace parts and get a few extra service calls when they do silly things like unplug it before the cycle ends or use foreign coins, but have only had to replace one machine in the last 10 years.

I saw a foreign guy writing about how insular western Pennsylvania is and a number of people treating what he said like it had zero merit, and I felt compelled to mention that I've had a good taste of how racist and xenophobic western Pennsylvania is recently, after all, this neo-Nazi just shot up a synagogue here last October.And then you pop up from nowhere (well, Allentown in eastern Pennsylvania) and start repeatedly telling me to calm down and not turn this into a thread about racism and xenophobia and this board's for real estate investing and I should stick to that.
