@Blanca CortesIt is illegal to charge a fee based on the refund that you are getting.If you are concerned about the refund calculated on the return, you should have a consultation with someone else and determine if an amended return needs to be filed.If the return is incorrect, you are on the hook because you signed off on the return that it was accurate.The "tax person" you went to will likely be long gone if you ever get a notice.It may be that you are getting a large refund because of the EITC(earned income tax credit)...no idea..consult with a real tax professional this time.
