When you are investing in out-of-town, unknown markets, you are gambling on both of those factors. 

A lot of investors still move their properties to an LLC with a QC deed, but it's one of those things where they're just gambling that the lender won't check it and invoke the DOS clause.

Also, I am using precious limited funds on this gamble.

What lurked within the walls and floors was the big gamble. 

I recognize the gamble with buying something else.

I am gambling that the probabilities are much higher that China will avoid a major financial catastrophe for another decade but who really knows.

And of course, it's still very much a bank loan, and some things might not sway your way if you get a conservative underwriter.I'd still rather pay a higher rate for a 30-yr loan; I don't like to gamble on what the market is going to look like 5 years from now.

It's about logic, not about uneducated gambling.
