The RISKS with leverage, are when you have tenant roll-over, a bad market, have personal issues (lost job, etc...), this increases your RISK/LOSSES as well as increases your potential gains.

That money is on a 5 year amortization so your payments will be high each month.When you leave employer you can roll over your 401k to a Solo 401k with checkbook control.

@Neel ShahAgree that you need to be self-employed in order to set up a Solo 401k.Even if you do, you will likely need to quit your job if you want to rollover money in your current employer 401k.

For example if you want to roll over 401k pre tax funds, you would obviously want to open a traditional IRA.
