Hi all - I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on general contractors in the Bryan/College Station, TX area (or those in the North Houston area willing to travel to College Station).

With in 5-7 years I would like to be able to financially stable, that is to say that at this point I can cover all living expenses as well as be able to be able to purchase a car, or new appliances, or cover medical bills, all without having to worry about if I'll enough money to eat that week. 

We did 95% of the work ourselves but only had weekends to work on it since I travel for work. 

so that I can travel, work for fun or part time, and most importantly have money to support my family if something were to happen to me.

I am not a well-traveled man and even though I am 59 years old I have never been to your state but I have heard a little bit about it.  

When I travel to Hawaii, and spend a day or two looking at potential investment housing...even if I don't buy anything...that plane ticket is a deduction.I'm going to assume you're a smart guy, so as you know, there are numerous methods to get around paying taxes on your real estate income.  

I am in the Lafayette area this weekend and part of I-10 was closed when I got close to Baton Rouge traveling from Kenner this morning. 

How far away are you willing to travel? 

Travelling down New Zealand is always a great pleasure, looking at the scenery and in general just taking in the beauty the nature offers!
