I haven't read the book, but I have mixed feelings about socialized medicine.

People forget that a big employer here, Scott & White, have many employees that need homes to rent or buy while working on their residency or starting their practice in medicine. 

Both do not know what they are doing - a doctor "practices medicine", while the realtor tries to "practice" in the field of real estate.

The only doctors I have seen excited about Obomacare is preventative medicine type services will now be covered that were not before giving those doctor's business growth.

As far as I know, marijuana is not allowed outside, medicinal or not.As to whether or not it's allowed inside, I think the laws/bills that allow for people to carry it/use it inside for medicinal purposes will give the users legal ammo to use against landlords.
