This is a general response, naming attributes, based on your post and what I would want personally:-Monitored, police response -motion sensors in appropriate areas-cameras both indoor (public areas)  & outdoors - motion activated, records to cloud, holds for minimum 48 hours, w/ audio capability-remote light switch control-remote alarm mode settings : on, off, at home-remote lock / unlock entrance-remote doorbell camera (service, delivery interaction)-temperature & flood sensors around appropiate areas-alert capability (various) set for your concerns-ample exterior motion dection led lighting, some solar powered lights that illuminate all night-phone app that you are comfortable usingThere are more attributes I would want but I'll stop here. 

hahDebt simply illuminates and amplifies that which is there to begin with, both in terms of the asset and the intellectual worth of the borrower.  

My seller has seven properties, so even a Schedule E request may not be terribly illuminating.

Mainly due to the fact of the new mortgage you put on it.William - this may not be the most popular post in the thread, but injection of a bit of intellectual honesty into your thinking should illuminate the fact that there are cycles in the marketplace, and what worked 3 years ago does not necessarily work today.There are one ofs, of course, but this may be an obsolete strategy in your marketplace in 2017.

They are also asking for all sorts of exterior and interior egress illumination which had me surprised. 

Well, here's what I did & it's a cheap cop-out, basically.Yank whatever isn't working (since it's a rental) - I would keep all the lights under the cabinets that illuminate the granite workspace.

(These two "tools" were my very best friend to illuminate going to court and doing an eviction)The next thing I would do would be to go  over the entire Lease Agreement with my tenants  (giving them their own copy of my 13 page rental agreement), I would go over everything.
