I also know from personal experience (while taking full loads in Grad School and honors courses during undergrad I worked 2-3 part time jobs, so I wouldn't have student loan debt) you can still work part time even when you have very demanding educational requirements.Once you graduate your job is probably going to be sucking up at least as much time as dental school did.

You could also change the perspective from majority/minority and examine the same trends from an economic class (upper, middle, lower) or education level (dropout, high school, undergrad, etc.).
