I read through the paperwork, and needed to redline some of the verbiage, so I crossed a couple words out, initialed and sent back.  

The CRA  ( community reinvestment ACT that Clinton put in forcing banks to loan in Ghettos' IE no red lining) etc etc.let to massive defaults. and well you know the rest of the story... .so what is going to be the next catalyst.?

None of the banks will admit it, because redlining is illegal, but most of them are really strict about WHERE they will lend.  

The blue line is the national home price index and the red line is the rental index.

If your answer is "nothing", think about what your redline is that would trigger maintenance. 

Take a look at the diagram below.The red line represents a declining market (rents and prices are flat or declining) and the green line represents an appreciating market (rents and prices are increasing).

Ditto the Green and Red lines although they can be spotty.
