Occasionally, I'm asked about two or more people pooling their resources to buy properties.

I am looking for alternatives.Thank you for the tip about gooting the utilities.

Please share any good tips which I should be mindful about.

Yeah, to the OP:There's one personal trait that could help really in many business and that's being RESOURCEFUL. when you are RESOURCEFUL you do not need any school or training becaue you would develop from your own business and life experience.Individual that has RESOURCEFUL trait can do lot of things , while not knowing the answer and you dont have to know how to things but you know WHO can do things.a SCHOOL OR CLASS would not teach you that.

Thanks but not sure what you mean: I had contractors quote all the work and the insurance company agreed to pay the entire amount (with an allowance for "supplemental requests for hidden damage"), except the deductible. 

Network with some investor friendly agents that might be able to help you - they should be able find you deals and get you resources that you'll need to be successful.

First time looking into this so any references our resources will be appreciated. 

Playing around with filters should help me narrow down rather quickly till city level, after that would be more local resource based play and leveraging ones network.Keen to read more on this.
