Operating Agreements & Best Practices for Partnership

Posted

An old college friend and I have decided to partner together to BRRRR properties out of state in order to grow as quickly as possible. We've already put together an LLA, and found a generic operating agreement online. But wondering if someone has a solid operating agreement they're willing to share? Or if you all can share some best practices for new partnerships? Would love to get some insights on this!

@Jonathan Greene Couldn’t have said it any better. I already see where this is going as well and  it’s a troubling trend I continue to see in these forums.  This emphasis on scaling as quickly as possibly means you’re going to become a door chaser and you will look for markets that cater to that objective which normally means weak underlying fundamentals.   Your focus should be on growing a profitable and sustainable business, and rarely does this correlate in anyway to the size portfolio you can grow  as quickly as possible.

Before you concern yourself with your partnership agreement you should revisit your investment thesis and strategy.
