There is definitely money to made in SS, and plenty of people are doing it.I'll also add to Mike's comments that small increases are easily attainable as (1) tenants typically aren't talking to each other about price (i.e. comparing their rent), etc and (2) most tenants don't find a small increase in price motivation enough to spend money on a moving truck and spend a weekend or more moving their belongings to a new facility.

The way I see it, unless they start tracing your IP address to your computer's location and triangulating that way, OR AirBNB starts forcing you to provide a unique identifier like a SS# to open a new account and then somehow verifying it (You can still have friends and family have accounts this way) and using a blend of strategies to make sure you aren't gaming the system, it will be very hard for them to enforce this for those who are motivated to get around it...

In addition, having a true motivation to help people is necessary to building the required patience to operate a successful sober home.

He specifically went and found sellers who were motivated to sell but not actually displaced (one guy was in jail and wanted money for legal fees, it had been his parents' house). 

My husband and I live in the metro-detroit area and are very motivated to get moving with real estate investing.
