Given that there is no mention of November, unless specific (and unlikely) legislation is passed a la carte (in the same way that provisions were made for paying military personnel), all bets are off for November voucher payments if the shutdown continues long enough.

In New Brunswick, legislation and regulation is more balanced.However, upon further reflection, I'm tempted to rescind my prior remark and restate that Nova Scotia is more tenant friendly than Ontario.Some quick comparisons:Deposits:Ontario permits the collection of a Rent Deposit (which is often colloquially identified as "last month's rent"), but not a damage deposit {the deposit can only be used to cover unpaid rent}.
