So if renovated duplexes in your area are going for $300K, that's about what you can expect your value to be, maybe $310K....even if you put in granite, Brazilian hardwood floors and black stainless steel appliances.

Im 20 years old and want to start planning on real estate investment/flipping any advice on how i can start today im in the navy as well have 3 1/2 years left in the military.

Jacob I am using Navy Federal for an investment and you can do everything online.  

Just retired from the Navy myself in November. 

Income for my family is definitely important, however my wife still has 2 more years in the Navy, plus I sell products on Amazon, and the navy will give me money while I'm going to school for housing that I won't actually need to pay the mortgage since my tenants pay over half and my wife's housing allowance can pick up the rest.

The only exception that I have found in this group is some of the very hard wood types like bamboo or Brazilian Ebony. 

I think Navy Federal does them, too.

I was told people are using Navy Fed to 100% finance a second home.

My husband is active duty navy so we understand the military lifestyle.

Personally I'm not too worried about the navy going away.
