So far at least $50 higher, but as we get our occupancy up we may push further.  

Affordability of housing is a big problem for median income earners, with most of them being pushed to the suburbs and beyond to find quality affordable housing.

After LOTS of research and talking to agents, there is definitely a market for and slow push towards a more rental-oriented mindset for millennials and empty-nesters.

You see, I currently wash dishes for a local restaurant chain during the day, bring in barely 1k per month in income (after taxes), a little over half of which goes toward living expenses, and use a bicycle and the local transit system to commute around town since I don't own a car.

I pushed the wrong button without saying everything I wanted to say.  

We have experience with rehabbing/remodeling our personal homes, and are looking to push that aspect of our real estate careers into overdrive, in an effort to build income streams for the future.

:P So I was just... doing... a thing... that I'm making up... as I go along... let's just duct tape this here, screw that into that other thing, use a little glue on the whatsit thingie, draw a smiley face on it for luck... and then I'm going to push this button, and then... boom, loan funded, deal closed, happy day.

I went to one meetup last year (not SJREI) but it was mainly the organizer pushing his services in wholesaling out of state properties.If anyone can recommend a good Bay Area organization, I would greatly appreciate it.
