You definitely need someone qualified, does not have to be a CPA, could be an Enrolled Agent or an Attorney.

I have purchased a couple of courses from them that did help me streamline my start, but I didn't jump out the window at the then $30k mastery student enrollment.

We work with a tax professional (Enrolled Agent) who is knowledgeable about rental property businesses and he keeps track of our depreciation.

I would head over to your local governments RE site todetermine the requirements.Then I would look at your local community colleges and enroll in a real estate class.

A little background:  currently, I am an Enrolled Agent (EA), and I operate a small tax practice in addition to having the California Real Estate license.  

I am currently enrolled with Allied Schools working towards my Real Estate Salesperson License.

I have been doing research online to find a reliable online school to study for the exam, but having a hard time deciding which one to enroll in.

My current plan is to enroll in classes at my local community college to earn my real estate sales license.
