Aspiring Real Estate Agent/Investor; Ohio

Hello BiggerPockets!

My name is Derek Love and I wanted to introduce myself. I was born and raised in Lorain, Ohio, and am currently 26 years old. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Geology (2017 grad woohoo!) and plan on continuing my education and career. However, I wish to build a business of my own to create financial freedom for myself and my family first. My current plan is to enroll in classes at my local community college to earn my real estate sales license. I feel this is a way to learn about the industry as a whole, network with other investors and agents, and "get my feet wet" into real estate investment, which is the ultimate goal. I have been saving up as much funds as I can to fuel the initial investments, but have fears of risk due to ignorance of the market and business. I plan to use BiggerPockets to network to find business partners and investment advice! Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer this aspiring real estate investor/agent!
