I would suggest that you find ventures that cost the least to nothing out of your pocket and take the 100K and spend on a night out!!!

The point of going in with eyes open is to have some idea of whether or not it will be a fruitful venture for me - one that I will both make money at, and enjoy doing.

I've just been turned onto the fact that there are govt grants out there to help w/various RE ventures.
