(May sound harsh but sometimes you need a harsh dose of reality).  

Many state "real estate agencies" would deal with you very harshly.. anyway, something to keep in mind as you 'creatively" go about your dealmaking..

SF's harsh rent control laws create all sorts of distortions in the rental marketplace: - As people hoard cheap RC units, that restricts supply to new comers.

Maybe you should grab a blanky and seek a safe zone if that's too harsh of the truth?

He was a wounded combat vet with more than a few demons to fight (we call it PTSD now) but he got his butt up and worked hard to save up and find an apartment in time for my mom to be born.It may sound harsh, but most people could fix their situation with some effort, but it's easier to complain about how hard life is.

I know these sound a little harsh on paper but I was trying to be brief but I know a guy who weeds out people by being this harsh. 

If you feel they're being too harsh, think about their intent.
