The other thing I thought of is what do you about the support beams?

I will shoot a video or setup 3D Matterport and/or take room sizing and floorplan with my laser.

I'm going to fix the driveway and water issue.The basement guys would like to sell me support beams at about 10k, but can't really tell me whether or not this is a serious issue.  70 year old house. 

While it isn't brain surgery there is a great deal to cover and to learn and like most other endeavors to become proficient will it require time, diligence, and laser focus.

I pay $600 for pier and beam foundation inspections by a licensed structural engineer and $400 for slab foundation inspections.

For example, on my units they are all raised (in New Orleans, most houses are raised beam on pile foundations due to BFE (base flood elevation) and local elevation requirements (18in above adjacent grade) ) so they all have stairs. 

@Dustin Beam There's a lot of information missing here, and the biggest potential issue/expense is the pool.Pools are great if you use them.
