lots of folks have summer places there and also rent them out short term. 

@Corby Goadei obviously agree with everything you said... but I assume these folks are just trying to look out for OP.and it seems like there are a lot of people that come on BP because they read Rich Dad Poor Dad, or watched a Brandon Turner webinar, and then spend a bunch of money on a random property, get crushed by capex, and disappear.i think the points / 'objections' raised are valid. 

These same "demand" folks cannot qualify. 

Hi All,  Just some comments from my own marketing and hearing from folks like you who have asked for my sub to training (BP needs you to connect first).- My own and from other folks; I hear of no wave or even a trickle of sub to purchases!!!   

I'd recommend joining a local STR group and talking to some folks there.Good luck.

Would love to chat with folks experienced in these specific areas and any resources for continued learning and growing my network and skills. 

Getting the right folks involved in the STR is critical to success. 

I'm a big advocate of that market and still believe it offers the best risk-adjusted returns today.Lots of folks are still writing off Detroit but more and more are waking up to the opportunity there.

Folks its ALL about wording, Be tough but polite.Rent amount, they pay the FMR, and is some cases more.
