The ones to use are newer models which have a TIPPING switch that turns them off if they are turned over, like a dog or kid by accident.I had 3 incidents this past winter where furnaces went out over the weekend.

Crime Free / Drug Free Addendum is important to have,, for any rental property,In this case the more than likely even without the girlfriend pressing charges the "police dept" followed thru and he more than likely had a charge made.I don't know enough facts about this landlord and what happened,  but the point is if a incident happens on your property you need to be decisive and take action.

It's very sad to hear about incidents like the recent one in Outer Banks where people lost their lives due to a fire.I think it's a great idea to have more awareness and training for those who manage these rentals.
