Hi @Michael Raposo,New England winters are brutal (and so is that electric bill). 

They are unique especially to Boston but also to other major New England cities that needed to house many families to work in mills and factories back then.  

I don't know what that looks like in 20-30 years, but I feel much better about owning property in New England than in Houston from a climate and flooding perspective.

Like the New England states tax sales are conducted on the municipal level, not by the county.
