And the way that you find out the limits of that gap is by encountering it. 

I looked at costs of coin-operated W/D (the ones I saw run $1600 for new machines) and the cost of installation and am definitely getting sticker shock.

Then, it will still need to have a mobile home yearly license and there are state requirements and inspections to get the sticker.

I’m asking so I can know what kinds of areas to avoid buying in so that I can avoid problems like what you encountered.
