This all stems from a lack of understanding the stock market and the fairy dust people take fees to sell you that may sparkle at one time and look like rust (if there is even anything left) after things plunge.

For instance the place will be professionally cleaned several times a month making sure it stays sparkling clean.

Here in Phoenix a nice sparkling pool can easily add 15-20k to the value of the home plus they sell much faster.
