Food for thought, I can go on forever but this is the mindset I would have if I was in your shoes.

If I were in your shoes, I would be conservative as possible and go for the worst case scenario.

I know people will spend more time picking a pair of shoes or an appliance than they will investing in a syndication or even buying a property.

At the time the tenants wanted compensation for many shoes and much clothes that was on the floor and have been damaged. 

If I'm in your shoes, this is also an excellent time to document and track each and every transaction + its associated MLS ID.

You'll have an advantage as when you're buying a single family home, you could look for ways to maximize your value by purchasing a house that has a finished basement.More often than not, my clients that have been in your shoes have ended up living in the basement while renting out the rest of house as a full home.Not saying this is what will work for you, but just my $0.02 on what to look for... give me a shout via DM or text me at the number in my signature.
