The economy still is pretty strong here, although there are not many major employers in this area, so when there are rumors of the Portsmouth shipyard closing, there is always a panic, followed by a rather sudden increase in homes being placed on the market.

So, I find this house through the rumor mill that is owned by a guy that is missing a few screws.

Rumor has it he was fined and is being sued for not checking aspectace.

As you may know, NovaStar was involved with a lot of the subprime loans and was rumored to be on the verge of bankruptcy.

I have heard rumors there are offers being negotiated, but I can not confirm for sure as I'm not a part of the project.

I believe the rumor is that the airport is buying up a lot of the houses and the surrounding home values will tank. best of luck! 

There would be occasional rumors of a market top then everyone would go back to believing that prices would just go up forever. 

There are rumors on how to workaround this, however it's hearsay, and at the end of the day you have to weigh the cost/ benefit of trying to get around it.

Let me know - My only concern with KW is that the fees have been rumored to be a little high, but I have not solidified exactly what those costs are.
