Residential investing is not rocket science, knowledge is not the issue: there are many good books out there that walk you through every detail you need to know.

This is a story from my past that provides a perfect example as to why investing in tax liens at auction is so dangerous for any but the most experienced and knowledgable investors20 years ago I purchased a SFR as a long term rental investment that sat on a double lot.  

This is the best platform to further your knowledge of investing.

Right now just working on market knowledge in my college town.

While the initial years might not be financially lucrative, the knowledge and skills you acquire will be invaluable.

I can relate to where you’re coming from as I’m also new to real estate investing and actively working to build my knowledge and network.

I feel like I have a strong grasp of the general knowledge needed for a first property, but I’d love to hear something different.
