I will not be at the NY Real Estate Investors Expo but I'm sure that's a great one for meeting more people in your region!

The market does seem slow, but better than the other always sells faster. 

Nobody watches your money like you do, you'll learn how to manage, so you can manage a manager later and you'll save precious early-years cash flow, which allows you to scale faster, especially in the first 5 years.

Thats a different perspective.. the guru's cannot be national gurus and be at the street level  too many students in to many time zones.

I've only been in a week so far, I'm hoping there is a little more structure for new members than there seems to be at this point.  

Leah, I would give lender 1 the option to beat/match your deal.

Also a lot of services were very cheap compared to what I was used to  I would buy there again in a heart beat.

It is hard to beat the appreciation, cashflow, tax benefit and the hedge it provides against inflation. 

Can’t beat that with a stick!

It sounds to me that owning a multifamily home would allow you to reach that goal faster because of the higher cash flow.
