I'm a Realtor and completely understand why the 2.5% commission seems like a racket. 

Had 20 years success in running my own mid-size businesses --  the last 2 years went bad - part my fault, part stuff out of my control - hence, I got out of the racket earlier than I thought I would) so based on retirement calculators, talks with advisors, and - knowing - that there's risks in life. - -- if I make a long term ROI on all my investments of 5% - I'm ok.  

This was her racket she did not again with my property manager. 

Probate is a nightmare and a legal racket!

Don't get me started on that racket!

I read about environmental report elsewhere on BP and it looked like some kind of racket to me: pay for phase I only to be forced to do phase 2 when none are needed.ThanksNick

Seems like a racket to me.I was with Farmers for a few years, switched to an independent broker who was able to destroy Farmers Fire policy rates.

I think the utilities ding poor people's credit report for some racket they do, so I no longer view a $1500 charged off cell bill to be a consideration.  

I don't buy the monitoring I think that's a racket...
