What puzzles me, though, is the fact that such a loosely secured property appears not to have been vandalized or ransacked.

What is somewhat puzzling is that originally when we spoke to the agent who put the house on the market, he said the bank had call him to sell the house, so it was a "short sale".

I think another piece has been temporarily added to the mortgage puzzle.

So it's pretty much a "cut off the finger or lose the whole hand" scenario for them.Of course we ARE talking about BofA, so don't expect logic to rule the day when working with them.At the end of the day, the BPO appraisal is the most important piece of the puzzle for the short sale, because that really does determine what price range you'll be able to buy at.

Just a thought based on my experience and I only started after 5 years of reading, networking, asking questions, blah blah blah and putting the pieces to the puzzle together so I could see the bigger picture (ahem, bigger pocket, maybe?).

Do you think this is a critical piece to the puzzle and should I include it in the model?

Since I'm so new to this I'm sure there are many pieces of the puzzle that I might be missing.
