House Hacking For College Student

Karim Kane
Posted

Hi all!

I'm a current college student in Boston and have taken a huge interest in RE, especially house hacking. I'm very new to this and have been trying to educate myself through books, podcast, youtube etc... I was looking at properties near my school and have found one that seems like it would be a good investment to house hack in. I wanted to get your thoughts on house hacking as a college student. Since I'm so new to this I'm sure there are many pieces of the puzzle that I might be missing. I was thinking of maybe even doing this deal with someone who has more experience and capital (since I would need to raise money for a downpayment) but I'm not quite sure how to go about it. Would this be a good idea to pursue or should I wait to graduate before entering the RE world?
