You can usually get 3-4 used stoves/fridges/dishwashers for the same price as you can get one new one.

Move the range and fridge and look under and around them.

You *may* be able to find fridge parts and charge her for what you would need to fix it, but put the money towards a new fridge instead. 

I have never seen a dishwasher and stove right next to each other, but I do like the fridge placement.  

You'd hear the same sound when the HVAC kicked on or when the fridge kicked on.It was scary, to say the least.
