Buy refrigerator in 2017 or 2018, when I have rental income

Obviously I am new to this! I will be renting what use to be my primary residence out in 2018, while I live with my elderly parent to help them for a few years. I signed an agreement with a Property Manager a month ago and will not have revenue from tenants for another month or two into 2018.

My questions is, should I buy a new refrigerator in 2017 even though I have no revenue, but I do have a high income and pay plenty of federal income tax. Or should I buy it in early January of 2018?

I have found a $2,000 fridge with side panel scratch and dent damage for just $1,000. It is perfect for my house!!

Thank you for your help,

Bernie
