I keep getting told that the underwriters are going to see that I'm taking advantage of the rate/down payment (even if I truly move there which I would).We have clients do the Nomad model of buying a home as an owner occupant with low down payments, live there for a year and then convert it to a rental after a year all the time... sequentially... doing it more than once and have not had any problems at all.

One of my investor clients bought a large ski house and rents it constantly on Air BNB, she may be open to chatting with you about her experience with that business model and she lives just north of Boston.....hers sleeps ten though, so  a different property than what you're considering.

@Karina Torres regarding your goals, you'll want to define them a little more, 7-10 properties for passive income is a little vague, I would advise a few business models based on several paths forward.1) On the 7-10 properties, How much net income per property are you trying to obtain?

We now have 15 properties, i went to a different model now having contractors do the majority or rehabs and i have handymen,plumber,electrician and hvac guy i can call when i need them.
