We have sold (tax free), kept as long term and/or short term rentals as well.

However, before you do so you should ensure that your revenue from rental income covers ALL your property expenses in the townhome, including mortgage, taxes, insurance, maintenance/repairs, vacancy, property management, etc...

This is now used as a airbnb/mid-term rental.

A better question is "Should I have a rental property in an LLC?"

I'm pretty experienced in long term as I have 17 rentals already but I'm preparing an offer on a bigger multi family complex "32 units" so was looking for proper guidance.  

@Rebecca GonaBigger Pockets is a great place to find a tax accountant that specializes in short-term rentals. 

For my POH park I have a hourly PT maintenance manager who keeps our rentals in shape. 

I currently own 4 rentals in different states and looking to buy more.
