I last searched in July and should have searched again to uncover these latest ones.

Did the inspection uncover anything that needed to be torn apart and/or fixed?  

Thanks JoelThe land had been listed by a cml broker, who did nothing to market it, online or off, and we were lucky to uncover it right after the broker's listing expired.

In other words if you purchase a property and superior liens (uncovered in your title search) exist - and they can be not readily apparent, as in the case of a warranty deed with a forged signature, or notice not given to all parties - you eat the loss.

If the inspector uncovers e.g. serious foundation problems, then I could walk (and perhaps make a second, lower offer in view of the problems discovered).  

Then walk the areas, talk to neighbors there, read local news about those areas, etc.Second, search on the BP forms for “cash flow vs appreciation” (or it’s variant), and you will uncover a whole lot of conversations about Bay Area investing vs out of state.

Other than that, inspections to uncover deferred maintenance.
