While I agree with @Ryan Groene that an hour drive to the major metro puts you outside the idea commute radius, are there any major employers closer or more affluent suburbs of the metro area that need to employee firefighters, nurses, police, tradespeople ect..?

Most cities require an “alarm permit” which I didn’t know was a thing, but it is, and it comes with hefty fines in some areas if you don’t have one so check with the police department if you decide to install one and see what their policy is 3.

@Cat R. buy one of those police Stinger devices - you know, the spikes they throw across the rob to stop a perp dead in his tracks - then hide it in the grass across the path of where she drives. 

Could get duplexes on each lot but city made us change to townhomes.I would tell you more but the projects I have going here in the Carolinas but the BP add police will tell me I am advertising.

Some towns have an actual code/housing enforcement division, some towns handle it through the police dept and some even handle it through the zoning office.  

Tantamount to a police state.

Police were involved in any incident.Making money is my first priority. 

As a police officer in some of those areas i dont want the double headache.

In the smaller suburbs of Chicago the small police forces were all busy protecting the Walmarts and Targets.
