I have a friend who lives in Atlanta and has investments in New Jersey, Technology and a good team have enabled him to do this, but most importantly, he set up a system and trained his team on the system, that way its clear who, what, how and standards are maintained regardless of who is managing.

North jersey is a tough place to start and make numbers work especially if you're doing an FHA loan having less downpayment.

@Jonathan GreeneDid you start yourself up in New Jersey or did you go out of the state because I know New Jersey in some parts can be a great market and other parts can be a total disaster?

Jersey City (Hudson Co) is a great commute and solid appreciation, but low inventory and hard to get properties.
