Some of this (electric and gas) can be set up online. 

The beaches are great and there is a strong ex-pat presence. 

They are also constantly propping up the market by moving more reo's to auction.com and similar online or live sales.

Home remodeling can EASILY be made fully online, and every attempt has gone bust.

But as an aside, crime stats online, when you have never been to an area, aren't going to be very relevant.
